OBITUARY Wilma Jean Dierker nee Minx of Grubville, MO departed this life in Washington, MO on December 11, 2021, having reached the age of eighty-three years, three months, and seven days. Wilma was born in Cadet, MO on September 4, 1938, daughter of Thomas Cerlo Minx and Mary Gladys Minx nee Head. On April 2, 1955, she was united in marriage to Warren Edward Dierker, Sr. and six children came to bless this union. Wilma is survived by her children, Warren Dierker, Jr., and wife, Janice, of Lonedell, MO, Debra Helling and husband, Charles, known to all as Sonny, of Union, MO, Darlene Pursley and husband, John, of Lonedell, MO, Keith Dierker and wife, Karol, of St. Clair, MO, Denise Salisbury and husband, Kimball, of Centralia, MO and Dawn Moore and husband, Gary, Jr., of Grubville, MO; by her siblings, Leona Gibson and husband, Billy, of Ozark, MO, Freida Slankard of Sullivan, MO, Carol Dodson of Sullivan, MO, Joanne Ossendorf of Poplar Bluff, MO, Rose Dierker and husband, David, of Lonedell, MO, Elaine Boyer of Sullivan, MO, Tommy Minx of Richwoods, MO, Jerry Minx and wife, Wilma, of Richwoods, MO, Garry Minx of Fredericktown, MO, and Peggy Robinson of Villa Ridge, MO; by seventeen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Wilma was preceded in death by husband Warren E. Dierker Sr., by her parents, Thomas C. and Mary G. Minx, by three brothers, Donald L. Minx, Sylvester T. Minx known to all as Butch, and Paul R. Minx and by one grandson, John C. Pursley Jr. Wilma was a Christian, baptized in 1961, and member of Prospect Baptist Church in Lonedell, MO. She was employed by BK Bus Service, driving for the Lonedell R-14 School District full-time, for twenty-seven years and continued substitute driving for an additional ten years. When her children were in school, she was very involved in the school activities and PTA. Wilma was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed working on the farm, fishing, and traveling. Her children and their families were her pride and joy. The love they shared and the many precious memories they created will be cherished forever. Many friends and family members were always welcomed in their home at any time. A loving and devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great and great-great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and treasured friend. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 17, 2021 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with John Pursley officiating. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery in Lonedell, MO. Memorials may be made to Lonedell R-14 Scholarship Fund.
