OBITUARY Wanda Faye Malone, native of Cedar Hill, MO, departed this life in Festus, MO on Wednesday, February 6. 2025, having reached the age of ninety-one years, one month, and twenty four days. Wanda was born in Hector, AK, on December 13, 1933, daughter of Archie Whorton Sr, and Neoma Whorton nee Darter. On July 3, 1950 she was united in marriage to Joe Wayne Malone, and five children came to bless this union. Wanda is survived by her children: Alan Malone Sr(Faye), Althea Christopher(Keith), Beverly Douglas(Gary), Keith Malone(Laura), and Rhonda Mathis(John Jr). 14 grandchildren, Alan Malone Jr(Jessica), Jason Malone, Linda Barga(Mike), {Dawn Pippin of the late Keith Dale Jr), Kyle Christopher(Brittany), Michael Meyer Jr(Brandon), Sarah Boyd(Clinton), Angel Wedig, Reanna Mayberry(Mike), Amanda Middendorf(Eric), Andrea Ahearn, Ashley Jones(Jeff), Travis Mathis(Candis), Britne Stein(Dean), twenty seven great grandchildren, brother in laws, sister in laws nieces, nephews, many treasured friends, and special friend, Marge Bourisaw. Wanda was a Christian, having been raised in the Pentecostal faith, and believing in the Lord, as her savior. She never failed at saying "I love you," to all she loved. She was previously employed by Superior Tool & Die, and Ritepoint Pen, but the job she took the most pride in, was caring for her home and family, and never tired of it. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents: Archie and Neoma Whorton, by her husband: Joe Wayne Malone, brothers: Archie Whorton, Jr, Gene Whorton, sisters: Gladys Robertson, Edith Sallee, Flo Peterson, Betty Smith, and grandson: Keith Dale Christopher, Jr. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 296, in Pacific MO Wanda enjoyed her hobbies of embroidery, crochet, making and altering clothes, making jewelry, painting concrete figures. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, February 22, 2025, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, in St Clair, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
