OBITUARY

Vince John Moreland of Lonedell, MO departed this life in St. Louis, MO on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, having reached the age of seventy-four years, four months and eleven days. Vince was born in St. Louis, MO on March 3, 1952, son of William George Moreland, Sr. and Felicite Jane Moreland nee Jones. On May 20, 2021 he was united in marriage to Tracy Jean Ray.

Vince is survived by his wife, Tracy Ray of Lonedell, MO; by many children; by two sisters, Joan Koelling and husband, Jerry, of Marthasville, MO and Sharon Whaley of Shell Knob, MO; by his sister-in-law, Teresa Russell and husband, Kevin, of Bonne Terre, MO; by his brother-in-law, CJ Ray and wife, April, of MO; by many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Vince was preceded in death by his parents, William, Sr. and Felicite Moreland; by his brothers, William “Bill” Moreland, Jr. and Richard “Dickie” Vaughn; and by three sisters, Carol Allen, Lois Mills and Mary Nowak.

Vince was a Christian, having been raised in the Catholic faith and believing in the Lord as his Savior. During his working career he was employed in High Ridge, MO as a diesel mechanic for an auto body shop and at one time was a part owner of 360 Degree Brake Service in St. Louis, MO. He loved to go shopping but his true passion was breeding dogs, especially Blue Tick Hounds, German Shepherds, Beagles and Yorkies. What meant most to him was time spent with his family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created together will be cherished by them all forever.

A kind and loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial services will be held at Green Mound Baptist Church in St. Clair, MO at a later date. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family for the continued care of his dogs. The family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
