OBITUARY Victoria Dora Gloriod of Lonedell, MO departed this life at her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, having reached the age of eighty-eight years, nine months and six days. Victoria was born in Munich, Germany on December 18, 1936, daughter of Mathias Niedermeier and Victoria Niedermeier nee Hayes. On August 3, 1963 she was united in marriage to Charles Edward Gloriod, Sr. and four children came to bless this union. Victoria is survived by her children, Donald Charles Glorios and wife, Malinda, of Mechanicsville, MD, Ronald Edward Gloriod and significant other, Marty Hamende, of Washington, MO, Jennifer Lenore Gloriod of Lonedell, MO and Charlse Edward Gloriod, Jr. of Lonedell, MO; by her sister, Annie Walker of Augusta, GA; by her sister-in-law, Betty Pelton of Lonedell, MO; by her grandchildren, Jennifer Ruffin, Kalynn Crouse and husband, Cody, Brenton Gloriod, Austin Gloriod, Bryson Gloriod, Seth Gloriod, Joshua Gloriod, Vencen Bumann and girlfriend, Emy Spruell, and Alexandria Bumann and boyfriend, Colton Lanini; by her great-grandchildren, Jace, Damien, Kai and Betty Sue; by nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Victoria was preceded in death by her parents, Mathias and Victoria Niedermeier; and by her brothers. Victoria was a Christian of the Catholic faith and member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Richwoods, MO. During her working career she was employed as a nurse's aide in a hospital until meeting and marrying Charles. She then made caring for her home and family and running a day care her priority in life, which she never tired of. Victoria enjoyed being outside, tending to her yard and helping people. She loved making bread, especially German bread. She loved children and taking care of them, especially her children and grandchildren. The love they shared and many precious memories they created together will forever be cherished by them all. A kind and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, October 3, 2025 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Father Pete Blake officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
