OBITUARY Victor Emmanuel Leith of Belle, Missouri departed this life in Belle on February 28, 2023, having reached the age of eighty-seven years, five months and twenty-five days. Victor was born in Pensacola, Florida on September 3, 1935, son of Manuel Leith and Julia Leith, nee Guidy. On November 19, 1955 he was united in marriage to Ruth Marie Buechner and six sons came to bless this union. Victor is survived by his sons, Thomas Leith and wife, Betty Jean (nee BJ Pelton), of St. Louis, Father Christopher Leith of Ridgefield, Connecticut, David Leith of St. Louis, Phillip Leith and wife, Vicki, of Columbia, Missouri, Jeffrey Leith and wife, Cyndi, of Salem, Missouri and Joel Leith of St. Charles, Missouri; by one brother, Ed Leith of Eolia, Missouri; by one sister, Ann Lyons of Whispering Pines, North Carolina; by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Victor was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Julia Leith; by his wife, Ruth, by two brothers, Bill and Henry Leith; and by two sisters, Patricia Alden, and Julia Leite. Victor was Catholic and member of St. John's Catholic Church in Owensville. During his working career he was a construction worker for commercial and residential construction, retiring after many years. While living in California he enjoyed going sailing. After moving to Missouri he enjoyed riding and caring for his horses. What meant most to him was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving father, father-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at St. Mary's Assumption in St. Louis. Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to The Society of St. Pius the X. The family entrusted the care of their loved one to Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, Missouri.
