OBITUARY
Vicky Lynne Gills of St. Clair, MO departed this life in Washington, MO on Monday, April 13, 2026, having reached the age of sixty-nine years and twenty-eight days. Vicky was born in St. Louis, MO on March 16, 1957, daughter of Kenneth Charles Long and Jeanette Louise Long nee Ruder. As a young woman she was united in marriage and blessed to have two children.
Vicky is survived by her children, Brandi Brant and husband, Jeramie, and Scott Horn and wife, Christa; by her grandchildren, Kyler Horn, Makalynn Horn (Gavin Overschmidt), Makenzie Folkerts (Dane Fennessey), Ciara Horn, Morgan Elbert (Cody Pope) and Cierra Coulter (Luke); by her great-grandchildren, Eleanor Overschmidt, baby Fennessey due in August 2026, twin babies Coulter due in June 2026, Owen Pope, Elias Coulter and Ivan Coulter; by her siblings, Kevin & Kim Long, Cindy & Vernon Brinker, Kenny Long, Rodney & Kelly Long and Gale & Jim Heideman; by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Jeanette Long.
Vicky was a Christian, having been raised in the Catholic faith and believing in the Lord as her Savior. During her working career she was employed by a company that manufactured circuit boards as a shipping and receiving supervisor. She enjoyed traveling, spending time at the beach, going fishing and doing crafts. Vicky was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her great joy and she cherished the many precious memories they created together. The love they shared will be forever in their hearts.
A kind and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, April 17, 2026 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Crestview Memorial Park in St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to Franklin County Back Stoppers.
