OBITUARY Tony Stone Baker of St. Clair, MO departed this life in St. Clair on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, having reached the age of seventy years, ten months and eleven days. Tony was born in Savannah, GA on September 1, 1952, son of Horace Baker and Lucille Baker nee Vise. On August 22, 1981 he was united in marriage to Stephanie Marie Bruns and two daughters came to bless this union. Tony is survived by his wife, Stephanie Baker of St. Clair, MO; by his daughters, Ashley Bonelli of Seattle, WA and Lauren Baker and boyfriend, Trevor Bristow, of Bend, OR; by his sister-in-law, Kaye Baker of Jacksonville, FL; by his brother-in-law, Michael Lohman of Jacksonville, FL; by two nephews, Stoney Baker of Jacksonville, FL and Steve Baker of Jacksonville, FL; by great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Lucille Baker; and by his brother, Raymond Baker. Tony was a Christian, having been raised in the Methodist faith and believing in the Lord as his Savior. During his working career he was employed in the maintenance department of Mercy Hospital in Washington, MO for over thirty-two years. He enjoyed watching television, especially NASCAR racing and golf. In his younger years he enjoyed going fishing. What meant most to him was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will forever be cherished by them all. A kind and loving husband, father, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Memorial services will be held at 5:00 PM Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO. A private committal will take place at a later date. Memorial may be made to Suicide Prevention.
