OBITUARY Thomas Patrick Sullivan of St. Clair, MO departed this life at his home, on Saturday, February 11, 2023, having reached the age of ninety years, two month and twenty-six days. Thomas was born in St. Louis, MO on November 16, 1932, son of Edward Casey Sullivan and Virginia Mae Sullivan nee Williams. As a young man he was united in marriage to Joyce Noblin and was blessed to have one son. After her passing, Thomas was united in marriage to Helen Marie Lewis on June 4, 1988. Thomas is survived by his wife, Helen Sullivan of St. Clair, MO; by his son, Dan Sullivan and wife, Annamarie, of Florissant, MO; by two step-children, Kelly Tate and wife, Becky, of St. Clair, MO and Kimberly Sculthorpe and husband, Robert, of Festus, MO; by four grandchildren, Nathan Tate and wife, Lauren, of St. Clair, MO, Jeremy Tate and wife, Dana, of Eureka, MO, Thomas G. Sullivan and friend, Tressa Lloyd, of Florissant, MO and Joseph L. Sullivan and wife, Kristine M., of Florissant, MO; by his brother Donald Sullivan of Jacksonville, FL; by one sister Helen Cuddihee of Troy, MO; by one brother-in-law, Ed Lewis and wife, Paulette, of Eureka, MO; by seventeen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great & great-great-nieces & nephews, cousins & friends. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Virginia Sullivan; by his first wife, Joyce Sullivan; by one step-son, Keven Tate; and by one sister, Virginia Stevens. Thomas was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church in St. Clair, MO. On May 12, 1952 Thomas enlisted with the United States Marines Corps in St. Louis, MO. During his time with the Marines, he served in the Korean War where he was awarded the Korean Service Medal, United Nation Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. On January 25, 1955 Thomas was Honorably Discharged in Camp Lejeune, NC having reached the rank of Corporal. During his working career, he was a Pipe Fitter and proud member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 562 in St. Louis, MO for many years until his retirement. Whether hunting or fishing, Thomas loved spending time outdoors. What meant most to him was time spent with his family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will forever be cherished by them all. A kind and loving husband, father, father-in-law, step-father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Fr. Eric Kunz and Rev. John Pursley officiating. Interment will be in St. Clare Catholic Cemetery in St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to St. Clare Catholic Church. The family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
