OBITUARY Terry Wayne Wideman of Fenton, MO departed this life at his home, surrounded by the love of his family, on Sunday, September 15, 2024, having reached the age of fifty-one years, five months and two days. Terry was born in St. Louis, MO on April 13, 1973, son of Jimmy Edward Hatley and Donna Marie Wideman. As a young man he was blessed to have three sons. Terry is survived by his sons, Jeremy Wideman and wife, Shelby, of Arnold, MO, Jacob Wideman and girlfriend, Peyton James, of DeSoto, MO and Joshua Wideman of DeSoto, MO; by his father, Jim Hatley and wife, Tina, of St. Clair, MO; by his mother, Donna Bennett of Hillsboro, MO; by three brothers, John Bennett of Hillsboro, MO, Buddy Bennett and wife, Carol, of Potosi, MO and Jason Hatley of St. Clair, MO; by his sister, Jamie Black of St. Clair, MO; by his grandchildren, Aiden, Anthony, Hunter, Grayson, Maxton, Luke, Myleigh and Liam; by his special aunt, Diane; by other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Terry was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Hatley; and by his step-father, Michael Bennett; and by his grandma, Imogene Wideman. Terry was a Christian and had recently attended Grace Life Church in DeSoto, MO with his son Jacob. Terry was a millwright by trade and was currently employed by M&F Industrial Service in St. Louis, MO, serving the company for over thirty years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, riding jeeps, welding and visiting Lone Elk Park. His favorite soft drink was Dr. Pepper and his favorite hockey team was the St. Louis Blues. Terry was fond of cats, but especially loved his pet Blue-crowned Conure, Slacker. What meant most to him was time spent with his children and grandchildren. They held a very special place in his heart, as he did in theirs. The love they shared and many precious memories they shared together will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving son, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Pastor Ron John officiating. Interment will be in Prospect Cemetery in Lonedell, MO. Memorials may be made to the family.
