OBITUARY Tammy Elizabeth McIntire of Hermann, MO departed this life at her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on Friday, July 21, 2023, having reached the age of sixty-five years, two months and twenty-three days. Tammy was born in Washington, MO on April 28, 1958, daughter of Walter Woodrow Hansel and Nellie V. Hansel nee Vaughn. On July 19, 1998 she was united in marriage to William Thomas McIntire, known to all as Bill. Tammy is survived by her husband, Bill McIntire of Hermann, MO; by her children, Sarah Orozco and husband, Juan, of Union, MO, Rachel Pelton and husband, Joseph, of Union, MO, Robert Cannon and fiancé, Rachel Rigdon, of Troy, MO and Matthew Cannon and wife, Amber, of Owensville, MO; by her step-mother, Linda Hansel of Cedar Hill, MO; by her mother-in-law, Alma Smith and husband, Earl, known to all as Bud, of South Roxana, IL; by her brothers, Michael Hansel and wife, Mae Ellen, of Marthasville, MO and Gregory Hansel and wife, Heather, of Union, MO; by her sisters, Jessica Venable and husband, Michael. of Battlefield, MO and Claudia Fischer of Sullivan, MO; by sixteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, with one on the way, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Nellie Hansel and by her father-in-law, Ray Sanders. Tammy was a Christian, having been raised in the Catholic faith and believing in the Lord as her Savior. She made caring for her home and family her job in life and never tired of it. She was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary for over ten years. Tammy enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable garden as well as her house plants. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for the family. She loved her pet dogs, a French Mastiff named Hooch and a St. Bernard named Hazel. Her family meant everything to her. Her children and grandchildren held a very special place in her heart and she cherished the time spent with them. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will never be forgotten. A kind and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, step-daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Pastor Wyatt Otten officiating. Interment will be in St. Clare Catholic Cemetery in St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
