OBITUARY Tammy Jean Garrett of St. Clair, MO departed this life in Creve Coeur, MO on Thursday, November 14, 2024, having reached the age of sixty years and twenty-nine days. Tammy was born in Washington, MO on October 16, 1964, daughter of Donald Ray Willis and Joyce Ann Willis nee Hollenberg. On May 7, 1983 she was united in marriage to Christopher Eugene Garrett and three sons came to bless this union. Tammy is survived by her husband, Christopher Garrett of St. Clair, MO; by two sons, Justin Garrett and wife, Nickie, of Foristell, MO and Jason Garrett and wife, Heather, of Union, MO; by her mother, Joyce Willis of St. Clair, MO; by her mother-in-law, Melody Garrett of Granite City, IL; by five grandchildren, Hunter, Gage, Charleigh, Logan and Annabel Garrett; by her sisters, Sandra Knickmeyer and husband, Michael, of Washington, MO and Melanie Blumfelder and husband, James, of Union, MO; by her brothers-in-law, Tony Garrett and wife, Dixie, of Mexico and Bryan Garrett and wife, Traci, of Piasa, IL; by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Donald Willis; by one son, Joshua Garrett; by one grandson, Gus Garrett; by her father-in-law, Gene Garrett; and by her mother-in-law, Alma Voss. Tammy was a Christian and member of St. Clare Catholic Church in St. Clair, MO. She was a member of Daughters of Isabella, Circle 1082, St. Clair, MO. She spent most of her working career in the banking industry, most recently as a branch manager of US Bank in St. Clair, MO. Tammy was a Green Bay Packers fan, enjoyed listening to Bob Seger and camping with the family. She also liked watching NASCAR races on television and especially enjoyed riding in the 1958 Cadillac with Chris. Her children and grandchildren held a very special place in her heart, as she did in theirs. The love they shared and many precious memories they created together will forever be cherished by them all. A kind and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law grandmother, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, niece, cousins and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Pastor Charles Keith and Ryan Dierker officiating. Interment will be private. Memorials may be made to Union R-XI Scholarship Fund noting Gus Garrett Scholarship Fund.
