OBITUARY Stanley Glenwood Coxie, Sr. of St. Clair, MO departed this life in St. Clair on Friday, November 18, 2022, having reached the age of eighty-eight years, five months and twenty-one days. Stanley was born in Cadet, MO on May 28, 1934, son of Fred Isgriggs and Susie Ann Richard. On August 8, 1956 he was united in marriage to Geraldine Patsy Sohn and five sons came to bless this union. Stanley is survived by four sons, Keith Coxie of St. Clair, MO, Ralph Coxie and significant other, Sharon Stephens, of St. Clair, MO, Stanley Coxie, Jr. and wife, Charity, of St. Clair, MO and Robert Coxie of St. Clair, MO; by his daughter-in-law, Terri Price and husband, Louie, of St. Clair, MO; by three brothers, Lester Isgriggs and wife, Carolyn, of Bourbon, MO, Luther Isgriggs and wife, Jackie, of Washington, MO and William "Billy" Isgriggs and wife, Jennifer, of Union, MO; by six sisters, Florence Ziegler of Villa Ridge, MO, Flossie Birmingham of Union, MO, Ida Fritz of Washington, MO, Goldie DeClue of Gray Summitt, MO, Nancy Nevills and husband, Glenn, of Villa Ridge, MO and Bonnie Smith and husband, Lyman, of Pacific, MO; by his sister-iin-law, Gloria Isgriggs of St. Clair, MO; by eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Isgriggs and Susie Richard; by his wife Geraldine Coxie; by one son, Thomas "Bo" Coxie; by three brothers, Garland, Jason and Bob Isgriggs; by two sisters, Beulah Herbst and Helen Sue Isgriggs; and by one granddaughter, Marissa Jacquin. Stanley was a Christian, having been raised in the Pentecostal faith and believing in the Lord as his Savior. During his working career he was a proud member of and worked out of the union hall of Laborers Local 53 in St. Louis, MO, retiring after about thirty-three years of service. He loved to travel, especially to Arkansas, take trips to Branson, MO and go gambling. He also enjoyed going fishing and eating sweets. What meant most to him was time spent with family. The love they shared and the many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, November 21, 2022 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Rev. Bill Savage officiating. Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park in St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
