Sherry Lynn Hammer of Union, MO departed this life on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, having reached the age of forty-eight years and eight months. Sherry was born in Washington, MO on August 28, 1975, daughter of Judy Irene Donner nee Wall and Gary George Hammer. Sherry is survived by her mother, Judy Irene Donner of Union, MO; by her two daughters Kayla Irene Epple and Celeste Ellen Bays of Union, MO; by her three brothers James Brown and wife, Cris from Stanton, MO, Rick Brown and wife DeeDee from Union, MO, and Dale Brown and wife Diane from St. Clair, MO; by her two sisters Lisa Pruett and husband Charles of Union, MO, Dena Toth and husband Craig of Washington, MO, by her Uncle Clyde Wall from Union, MO, by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Sherry was preceded in death by her step-father Brain Donner, by her brother David Brown, by her sister Buffy Hammer, by her great-grandmother Lola Yeary, by her grandmother Esther Wall, by three uncles Charles Wall, Clifford Wall, and William Wall, by two aunts Eunice Duncan and Ruthie Duncan. Sherry loved hunting for arrow heads and being on the river with friends. Her best friend was her beloved dog Diesel. Sherry loved being able to help her friends and others she came across that needed a helping hand whether it be a shoulder to lean on, a place to stay, food or clothes she was always willing to help in anyway she could. Sherry's dream was to start a nonprofit donation center to collect clothing to give to people in need and call it Hammer's Hope. She will be dearly missed by many as she never had a problem making friends no matter where she went. She will be also missed by all her family as she always did her best to remain in touch as much as she could.
