OBITUARY Shawn Michael Davis of St. Clair, MO departed this life in St. Louis, MO on Thursday, March 13, 2025, having reached the age of sixty-three years, ten months and thirteen days. Shawn was born in St. Louis, MO on April 30, 1961, son of Galen Irby and Anita Jane Davis nee Treadway. On June 12, 2007 he was united in marriage to Mary Rose Abbit. Shawn is survived by his wife, Mary Davis of St. Clair, MO; by six children, Adam Hansel of St. Clair, MO, Mandy Miller of St. Clair, MO, Ryan Lewis and wife, Nikki, of St. Clair, MO, Matt Davis and wife, Jackie, of Festus, MO, Nathan Davis and wife, Sabrina, of Estes Park, CO and Josiah Davis, Sr. and wife, Ashley, of Union, MO; by one brother, Kevin Jackson and wife, Retha, of MI; by his sister, Tina Herig and husband, Ed, of MI; by fifteen grandchildren, Emily Kippes and husband, Jonathan, Alex Hansel, Katelyn Broeker and husband, Briar, Kyle Miller, Kierra Miller and husband, Zack, Christopher Davis, Kami Davis, Madyson Davis, Aric Davis, Josiah Davis, Jr. William Davis, Patrick Davis, Connor Dubuque, Carson Roemer and Faith Lewis; by two great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Shawn was preceded in death by his parents, Galen and Anita Irby; by one son, Christopher Davis; and by one brother, Wayne Irby. Shawn was a Christian, having been raised in the Catholic faith, but had been attending Life Christian Center. During his thirty years career and Daimler Chrysler Corporation he performed at many different positions before his retirement, and was a proud member of United Auto Workers Local 110. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and took real good care of it. Shawn also enjoyed playing video games, camping with the family, traveling, especially to Florida, where he could go swimming even on Christmas day. He also loved Hershey's candy bars and Diet Mountain Dew. What meant most to him was time spent with family. His children and grandchildren held a very special place in his heart, as he did in theirs. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home with Brother Duke West officiating. Interment will be in Anaconda Community Cemetery in St. Clair, MO.
