Sharon Marie Vilcek of Fenton, MO departed this life at her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on October 21, 2021, having reached the age of sixty-six years, nine months and twenty-one days. Sharon was born in St. Louis, MO on December 30, 1954, daughter of Billy Plant Brewer and Goldie Marie Brewer nee Wideman. As a young woman she was united in marriage and blessed to have three children. Sharon is survived by her children, Amie Lowery of Fenton, MO, David Vilcek and wife, Liza, of Arnold, MO and Lisa Vilcek of Winfield, MO; by two sisters, Marilyn Stortstrom and husband, Greg, of Bethesda, MD and Christa Vonk and husband, James, of St. Louis, MO; by seven grandchildren, Krislyn Lowery of Fenton, Christopher Lowery of Fenton, Logan Burgess of Arnold, Kamrin Vilcek of Arnold, Kirsten Vilcek of Arnold, Karla Dunlap of Arnold and Lucy Salazar of St. Charles, MO; by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Goldie Brewer; by her brothers, Billy R. Brewer and Jimmy Brewer; and by one sister, Rosalie Wood. Sharon was a Christian, having been raised in the Baptist faith and believing in the Lord as her Savior. During her working career she was employed by the St. Louis County Special School District as a bus driver and she loved the children she drove for and the precious moments she shared with them. Sharon was full of life and enjoyed many pastimes throughout her life. She was an avid reader, loved to garden, go out to eat, go to the movies and go to concerts. In her younger years she loved to go bowling and was frequently on a team in a league. Sharon also loved to travel, especially to Colorado, and watch Hallmark movies year 'round. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she loved seeing the colorful lights. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy and held a very special place in her heart, as she did in theirs. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services were held at 7:00 PM Friday, October 29, 2021 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Rev. Raymond Laramore officiating. A private committal will take place at a later date. The family entrusted the care of their loved one to Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
