Obituary

OBITUARY Scott Christopher Seavert, known to all as Scotty, of St. Clair, MO departed this life in Union, MO on Saturday, May 16, 2025, having reached the age of forty years and five months. Scotty was born in St. Louis, MO on December 16, 1984, son of Craig Matthew Seavert and Laurine Seavert nee Fogarty. On February 12, 2020 he was united in marriage to Marissa Lee Bethel. Scotty is survived by his wife, Marissa Seavert of St. Clair, MO; by his mother, Laurine Joseph and husband, Raymond, of House Springs, MO; by his mother-in-law, Denise Newbold and husband, Richard, of Luebbering, MO; by his siblings, Michael Seavert of St. Ann, MO; Tina DeClue and husband, Patrick, of Fenton, MO and Ken Seavert of St. Peters, MO; by many nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Scotty was preceded in death by his father, Craig Seavert. Scotty had a variety of employment including St. Clair Elementary, Walmart in Union, MO, Schnucks in both Cottleville, MO and Eureka, MO and had even worked as a care giver for some time. He had most recently been employed by the Union School District at Prairie Dell Elementary School as a custodian. Scotty enjoyed collecting records and traveling. He also enjoyed sitting on his swing with his pet dogs and watching the stars. He loved to cook and bake, go out to eat and try new foods. Although he had no children of his own, he loved his many nieces and nephews as if they were his own. The love they shared and many precious memories they created together will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving husband, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. A celebration of life will be held from 9:00 am to 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Pinemark Inns's Windows to the West Hall, St. Clair, MO. The family entrusted the care of their loved one to Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
