SANDRA L. STECHER 1945 – 2022 Sandra L. Stecher (nee Sampson), 77, St Clair, Missouri passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Meramec Nursing Center in Sullivan, Missouri. Sandra was born on August 20, 1945 in St Louis, Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Horace Henry Sampson and Thelma Juanita Sampson (nee Hickey). She graduated from Mehlville Senior High School. Sandy worked as a secretary for Federal Barge Company before starting her own business selling wholesale furniture. Sandra enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family. Christmas was her favorite time of year. She loved decorating the house, wrapping gifts, and listening to holiday music, but most of all, she loved having everyone over and hosting Christmas Eve. She is survived by her husband Joe, sons Scott (Joanne) Stone of Bloomsdale, Missouri, Eric Stone of Hillsboro, Missouri, daughter Lisa (nee Bulte) (Travis) Pohlmann of Beaufort, Missouri, stepdaughters Mimi Stecher of Arnold, Missouri, Diane Stecher of Imperial, Missouri, Tricia (Mike) Delcambre of Imperial, Missouri, grandchildren Matthew Stone of Bloomsdale, Missouri and Jessica (Jeff) Wall of Festus, Missouri, step grandchildren Sarah Delcambre of Fenton, Missouri and Mickey (Malea) Delcambre of Iowa City, Iowa., great-grandson Jameson Wall and step-great -granddaughter Mia Delcambre. She also leaves behind a sister Cynthia (Gary) Gross and nephews Doug (Lynn) Kannawarf and David (Catherine) Kannawarf. She was preceded in death by son, Chad Stone, stepson Joseph M. Stecher of Cobden, Illinois, and sister Beverly Haynes of Bonne Terre, Missouri. A celebration of life and memorial service is being planned for a later date. Arrangements are by Russell Colonial Mortuary, St Clair, Missouri.
