Sandra Jean Belew, known to all as Sandy, of Lonedell, MO, departed this life at her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on October 24, 2021, having reached the age of sixty-two years, six months and twenty-three days. Sandy was born on April 1, 1959, daughter of Edwin Dale Gudermuth and Myrna Jean Gudermuth nee Taylor. On April 15, 1978 she was united in marriage to Bruce Robert Belew and two children came to bless this union. Sandy is survived by her husband, Bruce Belew of Lonedell, MO; by her son, Robbie Belew and wife, Elizabeth, of Lonedell; by her daughter, Barb Brant of St. Clair, MO; by one brother, Jerry Gudermuth of St. Clair; by one sister, Susie Ingram and husband, Steve, of St. Clair; by three grandchildren, Hayden Brant and Hunter Brant, both of St. Clair and Jeanine Belew of Lonedell; by her brothers-in-law, Byron Belew and wife, Ruth, of Silver City, NM and Brad Belew and wife, Kathy, of Hartsburg, MO; by her sisters-in-law, Bette Minx of Lonedell and Julie Neal and husband, Brian, of St. Clair; by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Myrna Gudermuth; and by one brother, Roger Gudermuth. Sandy was a Christian and member of Bethel Baptist Church in Lonedell, MO. During her working career she was employed as a secretary for both St. Clair Junior and Senior High School. She had also at one time owned and managed Advance Treatment and Recovery in Union, MO. She was an active woman that loved going to her grandchildren's sporting events and mowing her lawn. Sandy also enjoyed going to auctions and traveling with friends. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy and held a very special place in her heart. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Rev. Ben Kingston officiating. Interment was in Midlawn Memorial Gardens in Union, MO. Memorials may be made to Siteman Cancer Center or United Methodist Cemetery in St. Clair.
