Sandra Kay Creasy of St. Louis, MO, known to all as Sandy, departed this life on Sunday, January 8, 2023 having reached the age of seventy-five years, ten months, and twenty-nine days. Sandy was born in St. Louis, MO on February 10, 1947, the daughter of Willard Copeland and Dorothy Copeland nee Puckett. On December 6, 1965, she married the love of her life Larry Creasy and two children came to bless the marriage. Sandy is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Larry Creasy Sr; by her two children, Larry Creasy Jr. and wife Leah of St. Clair, MO and Matt Creasy of St. Louis, MO; by three grandchildren, John Creasy and wife Taylor of Sullivan, MO, Megan Creasy of Hannibal MO, and Adam Creasy of St. Clair, MO; by one great grandson August Creasy; by one sister Leota Eatherton and husband Bill of O'fallon, MO; by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Dorothy Copeland, stepfather Bill Sappington, and two brothers; Gary Copeland and Larry Copeland. Sandy was a Christian who served in several churches including Elmwood Baptist church and Friendship Baptist church. She loved to sing and serve in youth ministry. She had a heart of compassion for others and was always willing to help those in need. Sandy was a people person with a big personality. She had many friends and could make friends with anybody. She was always a faithful friend to others. Some of her friendships have lasted over sixty years. Sandy was a hard worker who managed to work full-time and take care of her family very well. During her working years she was employed at several banks, including sixteen years at Farmers and Merchants Bank in St. Clair. She retired from Emerson Electric in 2009. In her retirement years, she loved bowling with her husband in the senior league and became very good at it. She loved spending time with her friends and her family and she made many lasting memories when they were together. She was very active until the end of her life and enjoyed life to the fullest with a smile. A memorial service will be held at Elmwood Baptist church located at 2310 Elmwood Church road in Lonedell, MO on Saturday January 21, 2023 at 11:00 with visitation starting at 10:00 with Larry Creasy Jr. and Carl Faulkner officiating. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Friendship Baptist Church youth group would be appreciated.
