Rose Mary Banderman of St. Clair, MO, formerly Grubville, MO, departed this life in St. Clair on August 17, 2021, having reached the ager of eighty-five years, eight months and seven days. Rose Mary was born in Robertsville, MO, on December 10, 1935, daughter of Francis Patrick McDermott, known to all as Frank, and Mary Cecelia McDermott nee Bardot. On September 12, 1953, she was united in marriage to Wilbern Leroy Banderman, known to all as Leroy, and four children came to bless this union. Rose Mary is survived by three children, John Banderman and wife, Kristine, of St. Clair, MO, Connie Evans and husband, Johnnie, of St. Louis, MO, and Carol St. Clair and husband, John, of Overland Park, KS; by six grandchildren, Mary George and husband, Tyler, of Centerview, MO, Scott Evans and wife, Meeghan, of St. Louis, Sylvia Evans and companion, Kelly Hawkins, of St. Clair, Jim Evans and wife, Lani, of Sullivan, MO, Danielle Burgess and husband, Michael, of Lee's Summitt, MO and Andrew Ripley and wife, Ashley, of Indianola, IA; by two siblings, Bernard McDermott and wife, Karen, of High Ridge, MO and Ramona McGee of Sarasota, FL; by ten great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Rose Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary McDermott; by her husband, Leroy Banderman; by her son, James Lee Banderman; by one grandchild, Gene Evans, and by one brother, Patrick McDermott. Rose Mary was a devoted Christian and lifelong member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Luebbering, MO. She was an active member of the church in her younger years and was a member of the Ladies Sodality at the church. Rose Mary was a beautician by trade and owned and operated Rose Mary's Beauty Shop for many years. She had many hobbies and interests during her life, but especially fond of quilting, crocheting and doing needlework. Gardening and raising beautiful flowers were other hobbies she enjoyed. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her family and each of her grandchildren were special to her. A devoted and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Visitation was held on Monday, August 23, 3021, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, MO. Funeral mass was held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Luebbering, MO, with Father Bob Knight officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
