OBITUARY
Richard Von Dickison, Jr. of Lonedell, MO departed this life in Lonedell, MO on Monday, June 22, 2026, having reached the age of eighty-one years and eighteen days. Richard was born in Lynn, AR on June 4, 1945, son of Richard Von Dickison, Sr. and Brooksie Dickison nee Aeir. On October 25, 1975 he was united in marriage to Judith Ann Giancola nee Vance and eight children came to bless this union.
Richard is survived by his children, Ronda Farris and significant other, Jason, of Hillsboro, MO, Rodney Dickison and wife, Angie, of Festus, MO, Kimberly Long and husband, Kevin, of Lonedell, MO, Nicholas Giancola and wife, Teresa, of Plano, TX, Anthony Giancola and wife, KShe, of St. Clair, MO, Adam Dickison and wife, Shelby, of Webster Groves, MO, Shannon Zimmermann and fiancée, Tyrell, of St. Louis, MO and April Cooper Dickison of Pacific, MO; by his brothers, Tommy Dickison and wife, Cathy, of Port St. Lucie, FL, Ted Dickison and wife, Lisa, of Harker Heights, TX and Bill Dickison and wife, Joanne, of Cedar Hill, MO; by twenty-eight grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Richard, Sr. and Brooksie Dickison; by his wife, Judith Dickison; and by his sisters, Margie Williams and Lorrie Dickison.
Richard was a Christian and member of Prospect Baptist Church in Lonedell, MO. During his working career he was employed as a pipefitter and welder for Monsanto Corporation and drove a school bus for Lonedell R-14 School District. Richard loved going fishing, camping and working in the garden for Judith. What meant most to him was time spent with family. His children and grandchildren held a very special place in his heart, as he did in theirs. The love they shared and many precious memories they created together will be cherished by them all forever.
A kind and loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Rev. John Pursley officiating. Inurnment will be in Crestview Memorial Park Haven of Rest Mausoleum in St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
