Reva Georgia Benton nee Sitzes

Reva Georgia Benton, nee Sitzes " Georgie" of St. Clair, MO departed this life at her home on Saturday, February 17, 2024, having reached the age of sixty-two years, one month and eleven days. Reva was born in Washington, MO on January 6, 1962, daughter of Joseph Sitzes and Beulah Katherine Sitzes nee Renner. As a young woman she was united in marriage to Billy Kelley Sr. and blessed to have three children. On April 10, 2010 she was united in marriage to Johnnie Allen Benton, Sr. And blessed with four step children. Reva is survived by her husband, Johnnie Benton, Sr. of St. Clair, MO; by her children, Carrie Owens (John) of Sullivan, MO, Billy Kelley (Miryha), of Bourbon, MO and Justin Kelley of Sullivan, Mo. By Four Step-children ; Gina Benton Petzold, Johnnie Benton Jr. (Robin), Angela Pendegraft (Robert), and Keven Benton (Shawna) all of St. Clair, Mo. By one brother, Kenneth "Connie" Arnold and wife, Rose, of St. Clair, MO; by three sisters, Henrietta James (John) of Lutzville, MO, Elle Kamper of Cherryville, MO and Raylene Ochsenbine and husband Kenny, of St. Clair, MO; by six grandchildren, Alischa Owens of Sullivan, MO, Anna Aiden and husband, Kevin, of Sullivan, MO, Faith Kelley of Union, MO, Kierstyn Kelley of Bourbon, MO, Hailey Kelley of Camdenton, MO and Emerson Kelley of Bourbon, MO; by seven step grandchildren, Ashley and Kendra Petzold, Keven and Chelden Benton, Derrick and Morgan Benton, and Jersey Pendegraft all of St. Clair, Mo. By Five great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Breanna Helton, Victoria and Paisley Owens, and Maddilyn Aiden. By two step great grandchildren, Gracen and Jackson Petzold .By several nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Reva was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Sitzes and Beulah Fischer; by two brothers, Fred Arnold and Wilber Ray Petzold; and by one sister, Wanda Sitzes. Reva was a Christian, being raised in the Baptist faith and believing in the Lord as her Savior. During her working career she was a manager at McDonalds Restaurant and a training manager at Steak n Shake, both in Sullivan, MO. Reva spent most her past time caring for her family and working in the flower garden with the love of plants and beautiful flowers. She loved to garden and canning what her garden grew each year. Reva was a stay at home mom most her life. Reva had a passion for camping and fishing anytime the weather was fit for the family to join her. Her family were her pride and joy and she cherished the time spent with them. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will forever live on in their hearts. A kind and loving wife, mother, step-mother, mother-in-law, step mother in law, grandmother, step grandmother, great-grandmother, step grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 23, 2024 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Rev. Ben Kingston officiating. Interment will be in Anaconda Community Cemetery in St. Clair, MO. All memorials may be made to Anaconda Community Cemetery Fund.
