OBITUARY Ralph Melvin Dick, Jr. of St. Peters, MO departed this life at his home, surrounded by the love of his family, on Saturday, November 2, 2024, having reached the age of eighty-seven years, one month and twenty-nine days. Ralph was born in Milford, Connecticut on September 4, 1937, son of Ralph Melvin Dick, Sr. and Florence Sarah Dick nee Hall. On January 17, 1976 he was united in marriage to Janice Esther Scott and one son came to bless this union. Ralph is survived by his wife, Janice Dick of St. Peters, MO; by his son, David Dick of Tonopah, NV and fiancé, Citlally Hernandez-Pineda, of Las Vegas, NV; by his brother, Richard Dick and wife, Jan, of Chesterfield, MO; by his sisters-in-law, Jeanene Scott, Joyce Hoff and Maxine Thebeau, all of St. Clair, MO; by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph, Sr. and Florence Dick. Ralph was a Christian, believing in the Lord as his Savior and had been attending Rock Hill Baptist Church in Rock Hill, MO. During his working career he was employed by McDonnell Douglas, later known as Boeing, as a manufacturing engineer, retiring after fifty-five years of service. Ralph was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. He possessed his pilot and instructors license, taught flying lessons and had a shared ownership in a single-engine aerobatic plane. He also enjoyed traveling to various places to scuba dive. In his younger years he was a member of a car club. He especially loved Buicks and Oldsmobile's. What meant most to him was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will forever be cherished by them all. A kind and loving husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, November 8, 2024 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Rev. Ben Kingston officiating. Interment will be in Immanuel UCC Cemetery in Holstein, MO.
