OBITUARY

Paul Thomas Freeman, Jr. of Lonedell, MO, departed this life in St. Louis, MO on Thursday, May 28, 2026, having reached the age of sixty-eight years, eight months and fifteen days. Paul was born in Pacific, MO on September 13, 1957, son of Paul Thomas Freeman, Sr. and Rosemary Catherine Freeman nee Dailey. He was united in marriage to Sharon Ann Hillen on September 16, 1995.

Paul is survived by his wife, Sharon Freeman of Lonedell, MO; by two step-sons, Donald J. Copeland and wife, Lillie, of Richwoods, MO and Michael P. Copeland and significant other, Nikki Jackson, of Union, MO; by three brothers-in-law, Larry Hillen and wife, Kris, of St. Louis, MO, Tom Hillen of Brentwood, MO and Bob Hillen and wife, Marilyn, of Alton, IL; by two sisters-in-law, Mary Bowers of St. Louis, MO and Dee Richardson and husband, Jim, of O’Fallon, MO; by five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Rosemary Freeman; by his brother, Joseph Freeman; and by his sister, Suzanne Hollis.

Paul was a Christian of the Catholic faith and member of St. Clare Catholic Church in St. Clair, MO. He was a 4th Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 4667 of St. Clair, MO. During his working career, Paul was a Laborer for the Laborers Local 110, St. Louis, MO, where he retired after thirty-five years of service. Paul enjoyed spending time at their property at Table Rock Lake, he especially loved being out on his boat. He also enjoyed working with his tractor. He was a loving and caring person that was very outgoing, and would help anyone and everyone he could. Paul cherished the time he spent with family and especially his grandchildren. The love they shared and many precious memories they created together will be held dear in their hearts forever.

A kind and loving husband, step-father, grandfather, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 2, 2026 and after 9:00 AM Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at St. Clare Catholic Church in St. Clair, MO, with Father Pete Blake officiating. A private committal will take place at a later date. Masses are preferred.
