OBITUARY Theodore Walter Kramme, known to most as "Ted", and Patsy Lou Kramme nee Stahlman, known to most as "Pat", both of St. Clair, MO, departed their life after 52 years of marriage in Washington, MO. Ted passed away on May 14, 2023, having just turned 82 years old. Pat, 79, followed him in death only hours later on May 15, 2023. Ted was born in Washington, MO on May 2, 1941, son of Theodore Henry Kramme and Corinne Bernice Kramme nee Wideman. Pat was born in Washington, MO on July 5, 1943, daughter of Herbert Henry Stahlman and Luella Mae Stahlman Marcille nee Kerans. Although they were acquaintances in high school, their love story began years later in 1969. They were married within a year on August 8, 1970, and were blessed with one daughter. They are survived by their daughter, Michele Nelson and husband, Scott, of O'Fallon, MO; by their grandchildren, Ella and Spencer Nelson of O'Fallon, MO; Ted is survived by his sister, Brenda Pocock of Ballwin, MO; Pat is survived by two siblings, Terry Marcille and significant other, Vicki O'Brien, of St. Louis, MO and Mary Barton of Sullivan, MO; they are survived by their goddaughter, Cherie Maloney; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. They were both preceded in death by their parents; Ted was preceded in death by his brother, William "Bill" Kramme; and by two sisters, Carolyn Kramme and Dorothea "Dea" Kramme; Pat is preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Hoffman. Ted earned an M.A. in Mathematics from the University of Illinois and had a rewarding 32-year career as a high school math teacher. He taught 4 years at St. Clair High School, one year at Niles North High School in Skokie, IL, and the remaining 27 years at Pattonville High School in Maryland Heights, MO. In addition, he served as a council member for the University of Missouri Extension for 2 years and a St. Clair MFA board member for over 10 years. Ted took pride in raising beef cattle for over 40 years, working as a tax consultant, studying agronomy, reading, and doing crossword puzzles. Pat graduated from St. Clair High School and spent her working career as a daycare provider for over 20 years while also being a stay-at-home mom. She truly enjoyed and loved every child she had the opportunity to care for. Pat took great pride in learning and sharing their family history with others. She treasured all the pictures and heirlooms that were gathered over the years. Ted and Pat were active members of St. John United Church of Christ in St. Clair, MO and enjoyed helping others in their community. Their hobbies included jigsaw puzzles, watching St. Louis Cardinals games, and traveling out west to the mountains. Ted was a man of deep faith who took a real interest in people and was known for his wisdom, guidance, and kindness. Pat was a true caregiver who will be remembered for her patient, empathetic, and gentle nature. Their grandchildren were their pride and joy, and they cherished the time they spent with them. The love they shared and the many precious memories they created will never be forgotten. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 8th at 1:00 p.m. at St. John United Church of Christ, 920 E. Gravois Ave., St. Clair, MO. Committal will take place at a later date in Mount Hope Cemetery in Lonedell, MO. Memorials may be made to the Mount Hope Cemetery Fund.
