OBITUARY Patricia Marie Gebken of St. Clair, MO departed this life at her home on September 1, 2022, having reached the age of ninety-two years, two months and ten days. Patricia was born in Richmond Heights, MO on June 22, 1930, daughter of Tobias H. Schomaker and Catherine C. Schomaker nee Kiske. On April 28, 1951 she was united in marriage to Oscar F. Gebken and three children came to bless this union. Patricia is survived by her children, Leonard Gebken, know to all as Len, of St. Clair, MO and Mary Kay Bowman and husband, Daniel, known to all as Bert, of Oklahoma City, OK; by her sister, Jacqueline Stoker of Houston, TX; by four grandchildren, Ken Wilmering and wife, Theresa, Dana E. Tate and husband, Jeremy, Keith Britton and Alexis Bowman; by four great-grandchildren, Kennedy Tate, Oscar Tate, Isaac Wilmering and Kimberly Welsch and husband, Shane; by nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, godchildren, cousins and many friends. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Tobias and Catherine Schomaker; by her husband, Oscar Gebken; and by one son, Gary Gebken. Patricia was a Christian and member of St. Clare Catholic Church in St. Clair, MO, where she was active in many church functions. During her working career she worked as a nurse's assistant for Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, MO for about ten years. Patricia was a member and past Regent of Daughters of Isabella St. Clair Circle 1082. She was also a member of Ladies Sodality of St. Clare Catholic church and volunteered at the St. Clare food pantry. Patricia was an avid reader, loved to sew and go horseback riding. She loved animals and was considered a "mother to many". The many precious memories created with family and friends will forever be cherished by them all. A kind and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM September 13, 2022 at St. Clare Catholic Church in St. Clair, MO with Father Bob Knight officiating. Private interment will be in St. Clare Catholic Cemetery in St. Clair, MO. In lieu of flowers, masses are preferred.
