OBITUARY Norma Lee Scott of Fenton, MO departed this life on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, having reached the age of ninety-two years, eight months and two days. Norma was born in Anaconda, MO on May 27, 1932, daughter of Oscar Helling and Bertha Myrtle Helling nee Gaulden. She was united in marriage to Roy Lee Scott on April 19, 1952 and two children came to bless this union. Norma is survived by her children, Neal Lee Roy Scott and wife, Lisa, of Pacific, MO and Nancy Lee Scott Muir of Fenton, MO; by her grandchildren, Tamara, Neal, Jr. and Traci Ann; by her great-grandchildren, Ava, Lennox, Paislee, Eloise, Vanessa, Valerie and Madison; by one great-great-grandchild, Chandler Lee; by nieces, nephews, great, great-great and great-great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Bertha Helling; by her husband, Roy Scott; by her siblings, Alvenia, Gladys, Frances, James, Orville, Velma and infant Betty Jean and Luther James; Norma was a Christian and member of First Baptist Church in St. Clair, MO. She attended St. Clair schools and graduated in May of 1950. She had been employed at Carmo Shoe Factory, Brown Shoe Company, Farmers and Merchants Bank and was church secretary for First Baptist Church in Fenton, MO for several years. Norma had also volunteered at Missouri Baptist Hospital for twenty years out of the Chaplains office. After her and Roy's wedding vows in April of 1952, they went on to renew those vows at their 25th wedding anniversary, another time on a cruise ship and a fourth time on their 40th anniversary. Roy always said that he was the most married man to the same woman on the planet. It didn't matter if it was staying at home or travelling all over the country, Norma loved doing anything with Roy. She's with Roy now, and her God, and that is always where she wanted to be. A loving and devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great and great-great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great, great-great- and great-great-great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, February 10, 2025 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Pastor Jeff Scott officiating. Interment will be in Midlawn Memorial Gardens in Union, MO. Memorials may be made to Vandover Baptist Church in Fenton, MO.
