OBITUARY Norma May Bay of Union, MO departed this life at her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on June 7, 2022, having reached the age of eighty-three years, two months and twenty-eight days. Norma was born in Sligo, MO on March 10, 1939, daughter of Ralph Alonzo Guthrie and Margie May Guthrie nee Hutson. Norma is survived by her sons, John Groger, Jr. of Gerald, MO, Daniel Groger of Moselle, MO and Jimmy Bay of Moselle, MO; by her daughters, Donna Stone of Union, MO, Mary Nolting of Union, MO and June Stephens of Moselle, MO; by several grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Margie Guthrie; by her brothers, Donald Guthrie and Lyle Guthrie; and by her sisters, Donnie Gould and Anna Bell. Norma was a Christian and past member of Moselle Baptist Church in Moselle, MO, now known as Lighthouse Baptist Church. In her younger years she was primarily a stay-at-home mom, caring for her home and family. Norma later went to employment at Sunset Nursing Center in Union, MO for ten years and then to Tradco, Inc, in Washington, MO where she was a foreman, retiring after twenty-five years of service to the company. She enjoyed taking rides in the car, spending time outside and watching the steam engine, "1522 Frisco" going through town. What meant most to her was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. A private committal will take place at a later date, The family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
