OBITUARY Michael Vester Stockton of St. Clair, MO departed this life in Chesterfield, MO on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, having reached the age of seventy-seven years, six months and twenty days. Michael was born in San Francisco, CA on February 16, 1946, son of Vester Stockton and Lois Alma Stockton nee Sanders. On December 10, 1966 he was united in marriage to Marilyn Ann Weiss and two sons came to bless this union. On May 18, 2002 he was united in marriage to Katherine Louise Roseberry nee Walters and their families were joined as one. Michael is survived by his wife, Katherine Stockton of St. Clair, MO; his children, Mark Stockton and wife, Patty, of Imperial, MO, Mitchell Stockton and wife, Bobbi, of Springfield, MO, Brock Roseberry of Ferguson, MO, Bradley Roseberry and wife, Stacey, of Fenton, MO, Crystal Roseberry Smith of Cummings, GA and Andrew Roseberry and wife, Valerie, of Oak Harbor, WA; his sister, Gloria Stockton of Lamar, MO; his brother-in-law, Hobert Walters and wife, Karen, of Dauphin Island, AL; his niece, Yvonne Loveland and husband, Don, of Vista, CA; his grandchildren, Luke, Noah, Vincent and Maxon Stockton, Zdena and Carter Roseberry, Quincy, Brock, Wesley, Sophie, Tessa and Reagan Smith and Rory, Abigail and Alaine Roseberry; numerous cousins and a multitude of friends. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Vester and Lois Stockton; and his first wife, Marilyn Stockton. Michael was a Christian and member of Church of the Island in Dauphin Island, AL. He had a varied working career including McDonnell Douglas Corporation in St. Louis, MO, Gulf Oil Company in St. Louis, MO, Citation Classic Cars in Union, MO and New Concept Home Sales in Washington, MO and Times Beach, MO. He had also owned five locations of Gold Key Realty, based out of Union, MO and Stockton Construction in St. Clair, MO. He loved reading history, studying his Bible and traveling. Michael enjoyed woodworking and working on cars and had a special interest in classic cars. What meant most to him was time spent with family. His grandchildren held a very special place in his heart and he cherished the time spent with them. A kind and loving husband, father, father-in-law, step-father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 9, 2023 at First Baptist Church in St. Clair, MO with Revs. Roy Bryant and David Tippens officiating. Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park in St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to Gideon's International or Samaritan's Purse.
