Obituary

OBITUARY Mary Anna Reger of Sullivan, MO departed this life in Sullivan, MO on Sunday, May 4, 2025, having reached the age of eighty-three years, three months and nineteen days. Mary was born in Fort Wayne, IN on January 15, 1942, daughter of Charles Dillon Grim and Mary Anna Grim nee Tagtmyer. On August 4, 1962 she was united in marriage to William Dennis Reger, Sr. and two children came to bless this union. Mary is survived by her son, Bill Reger, Jr. and wife, Nancy, of Sullivan, MO; by her grandchildren, Jamie Huncovsky and boyfriend, Randy Lindley, Paula Huncovsky and fiancé, Chris Jordan, Jason Huncovsky and wife, Jackie, Brian Reger and wife, Montana, Matt Reger, Dustin Harland and wife, Maddie and David Dieckhaus and fiancé, Abby Williams; by thirteen great-grandchildren with one on the way, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Grim; by her husband, William Reger, Sr.; by her daughter, Tina Dieckhaus; and by her brothers, Charles Grim and Paul Grim. Mary was a Christian and member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Clair, MO, where she was very active and member of the quilting guild. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and taking pictures. Mary also enjoyed trap and skeet shooting and taking care of animals. She treasured the time spent playing with her grandchildren. They held a very special place in her heart, as she did in theirs. The love they shared and many precious memories they created together will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Clair, MO. A private committal will take place at a later date at United Methodist Cemetery in St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. The family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
