OBITUARY Marvin Hulsey of Robertsville, MO departed this life in Washington, MO on Sunday, November 9, 2025, having reached the age of ninety years, seven months and twenty-three days. Marvin was born in Japan, MO on March 17, 1935, son of Charles Edward Hulsey and Nutrie "Berniece" Hulsey nee Bland. On June 25, 1955 he was united in marriage to Delores Georgia Clay and two children came to bless this union. Marvin is survived by his daughter, Georgitta Renne McDaniel, know to all as Renne, and husband, Sam, Jr., of Robertsville, MO; by his grandchildren, Clayton McDaniel of Robertsville, MO and Heather McDaniel and fiancé, Denny Sanders, of Union, MO; by his great-granddaughter, Makena Sanders of Union, MO; by three sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Berniece Hulsey; by his wife, Delores Hulsey; by his son, Gary Hulsey; by his brothers, Earven Hulsey, Lenzie Bland, Curtis Hulsey, Alfred Hulsey, Rev. Charles Sherwood Hulsey, Harold Hulsey and Sam "Wesley" Hulsey; and by his sisters, Carletta Hulsey, Dorothy Generally, Sherlean Atchison, Loretta Hulsey and Verla Perkins. Marvin was a Christian and member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Robertsville, MO. During his working career he was employed by Brown Shoe Company, Todd Buick in Union, MO and eventually started his own excavating business, clearing roads, building lakes and clearing property. He enjoyed hunting, cutting wood and raising cattle. Marvin was a friendly man who loved to laugh and always had a smile on his face. He never met a stranger and never had a bad day. What meant most to him was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Rev. Darren Perkins officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Robertsville, MO. Memorials may be made to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
