OBITUARY Madonna Louise DeClue of St. Clair, MO departed this life in St. Clair on Monday, April 14, 2025, having reached the age of eighty-three years, seven months and twenty-five days. Madonna was born in Washington, MO on August 20, 1941, daughter of Frederic Eugene Birmingham and Louise Birmingham nee Welcher. On April 22, 1961 she was united in marriage to Rev. Arthur Lee DeClue and three children came to bless this union. Madonna is survived by her children, Timothy Birmingham and wife, Barbara, of Union, MO, Michael DeClue of St. Clair, MO and Tammy Villmer and husband, Mickey, of Lonedell, MO; by one brother, James Birmingham; by her sister, Mary Birmingham; by her grandchildren, Alisha Crafton, Crystal Birmingham and boyfriend, Dan Gadcke, Cheyenne Villmer and Logan Villmer; by her great-grandchildren, Destiny Crafton, Brenden Welcher and wife, Shelby, Wyatt Crafton, Kaleb Welcher and Ellie Jarvis; by nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Madonna was preceded in death by her parents, Frederic and Louise Birmingham; by her husband, Rev. Arthur DeClue; and by two brothers, Paul Birmingham and John Birmingham. Madonna was a Christian of the Pentecostal faith and longtime member of Way of Life Tabernacle in Richwoods, MO. She worked at various factories in Washington, MO and St. Louis, MO and as a head cook.in a restaurant in Washington, MO. She enjoyed growing plants and flowers, going fishing and listening to gospel music, especially Elvis Presley. She loved shopping at the Agape House and other various thrift stores, resale shops and flea markets in the area. Her children and grandchildren held a very special place in her heart, as she did in theirs. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren telling stories. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will never be forgotten. A kind and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 18, 2025 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Rev. Raymond Laramore officiating. Interment will be in Horine Cemetery in Richwoods, MO. Memorials may be made to the family.
