OBITUARY Lucille Just of St. Clair, MO departed this life in St. Clair on December 20, 2021, having reached the age of ninety-four years. Lucille was born in St. Louis, MO on December 20, 1927, daughter of George Ford and Nedra Ford nee Bowles. On January 17, 1948 she was united in marriage to Edward Joseph Just and two children came to bless this union. Lucille is survived by her daughter, Karen Veasman and husband, Earl, of St. Clair, MO; by her son, Mike Just and wife, Helen, of St. Clair, MO; by her grandchildren, Becky Dickinson and husband, Joe, of Lonedell, MO, Emily Frisella and husband, Andy, of St. Louis, MO, Sarah Toppmeyer and husband, Adam, of St. Louis, MO and Kristy Just of New Haven, MO; by her great-grandchildren, Maddie, Josh and Kathryn Dickinson, all of Lonedell and Piper, Sloane and Bode Toppmeyer, all of St. Louis; by nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, George and Nedra Ford; by her husband, Edward Just; by her brother, Thomas Ford; and by her sister, Joan Helton. Lucille was a Christian and member of St. Clare Catholic Church in St. Clair, MO. She was a member of Daughters of Isabella St. Clair Circle #1082 and St. Clare Ladies Sodality. She made caring for her home and family her job in life and never tired of it. Lucille was an avid reader, loved to travel, play cards and especially loved chocolate ice cream. She was a St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and loved watching the games. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and never missed one of their sporting events at school. The love she shared with her family and the many precious memories they created will forever be cherished by them all. A loving and devoted mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Visitation was held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 22, 2021 and after 9:00 AM Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO. Funeral mass was held at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 23, 2021 at St. Clare Catholic Church in St. Clair, MO with Father Eric Kunz officiating. Interment was in St. Clare Catholic Cemetery in St. Clair. Memorials may be made to St. Louis Children's Hospital or SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, both in St. Louis, MO.
