OBITUARY Lonnie Darrel Davidson of Dittmer, MO departed this life at his daughter's home in Robertsville, MO, on Friday, April 26, 2024, having reached the age of sixty-nine years, nine months and nineteen days. Lonnie was born in Baldwyn, MS on July 7, 1954, son of Willard Leon Davidson, known to all as Leon, and Amanda Opal Davidson nee Osborne, known to all as Opal. On November 20, 1971 he was united in marriage to Margaret Sue Coats and three children came to bless this union. Lonnie is survived by his wife, Margaret Davidson, known to all as Sue, of Robertsville, MO; by his daughters, Andrea Matzker and husband, Fred, of Piedmont, MO and Amy Staryak and husband, Andrew, of Lonedell, MO; by four beloved sisters and one beloved brother, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Opal Davidson; by his son, Joshua Davidson; and by his brother, Eddie Davidson. Lonnie was a Christian, who's church had no wall, and he loved to minister to his family. . During his working career he was employed by Architectural Bronze in St. Louis, MO for over twenty years. He also worked for himself throughout the years and had done bronze for most of St. Louis, MO. Lonnie enjoyed going fishing, riding horses and working in his garden. He was a big- hearted man that would give to or help anyone in need. What meant most to him was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 29, 2024 at Crestview Memorial Park in St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to the family.
