OBITUARY Lola May Crum of Union, MO departed this life in Washington, MO on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, having reached the age of ninety-six years and thirty days. Lola was born in Sullivan, MO on March 27, 1927, daughter of Archie and Piney Farrow nee Thurmond. On May 25, 1946 she was united in marriage to Willard Wilson Crum and two daughters came to bless this union. Lola is survived by her daughter, Susan Paxson and husband, Robert, of Union, MO; by her grandchildren, Kip Dickinson and wife, Shelly, of Wright City, MO and Erin Tesar and husband, Brett, of Union, MO; by her step-grandson, Joshua Paxson and wife, Emi, of St. Charles, MO; by her great-grandchildren, Tre' Tesar of Maplewood, MO, Rilyn Hildebrandt and husband, Quinton, of Kansas City, MO and Carrison Tesar of Union, MO; by her step-great-grandchildren, Ethan and Liliana Paxson; by her great-great-grandchildren, Winnie and Wrenleigh Hildebrandt; by nieces, nephews, great, great-great and great-great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Lola was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Piney Farrow; by her husband, Wilson Crum; by her daughter, Linda Dickinson; by her brother, Herb Farrow; and by her sisters, Levada Crum, Wilma Clark and Iva Hinson. Lola was a Christian and member of New Testament Baptist Church in Sullivan, MO. During her working career she was employed by the shoe factory in St. Clair and later in Union, sold Avon for over 50 years but was primarily a homemaker, taking great care of her home and family, and never tired of the task. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star St. Clair Chapter 96 for Seventy-two years. She enjoyed watching and feeding birds and caring for her flower garden. Lola also enjoyed playing bingo at the Union Senior Center and traveling in their motorhome with Wilson. What meant most to her was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will live on in their hearts forever. A kind and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, step-grandmother, great-grandmother, step-great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, great, great-great and great-great-great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Pastor Joshua Wright officiating. Interment will be in Prospect Cemetery in Lonedell, MO. Memorials may be made to St. Louis Shriner's Hospital for Children.
