OBITUARY Lloyd Mosey Harris of St. Clair, MO departed this life in Cedar Hill, MO on Friday, January 10, 2025, having reached the age of eighty-two years, four months and twenty-three days. Lloyd was born in St. Louis, MO on August 18, 1942, son of Mosey C. Harris and Merle Blanche Harris nee Hill. As a young man he was blessed to have two children. On March 2, 1996 he was united in marriage to Donna Lee Markland. Lloyd is survived by his wife, Donna Harris of St. Clair, MO; by his children, Darci Buckley and husband, Greg and Steve Milner and wife, Kristin; by two brothers-in-law, David Markland and girlfriend, Vicki and Danny Markland; by his grandchildren, Karsen Milner, Claire Buckley and Samantha Buckley; by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Mosey and Merle Harris; and by his sister, Marie Harris. He was proud to have served his country in the United States Navy, entering on January 31, 1963 and receiving his honorable discharge on January 14, 1965. During his working career he was employed by Ameren Missouri as a lube technician. Lloyd was also a proud member of American Legion Post 347 in St. Clair, MO. He enjoyed going fishing, riding motorcycles and riding around in his Jeep. Lloyd was a skilled carpenter and made furniture out of his garage. What meant most to him was time spent with family and friends. The love and fellowship they shared and many precious memories they created together will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Inurnment with full military honors will take place at 11:30 AM Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO with Chaplain Mark McMillins officiating. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The family of Lloyd Mosey Harris entrusted the care of their loved one to Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
