OBITUARY Lillie Bell Mace of St. Clair, MO departed this life at her home on Monday, June 5, 2023, having reached the age of forty-nine years, eleven months and nine days. Lillie was born in St. Louis, MO on June 27, 1973, daughter of Howard Edward Mace, Sr. and Karillne Patricia Mace nee Gann. As a young woman she was blessed to have three children. Lillie is survived by her boyfriend, John McCarthy of St. Clair, MO; by her children, Carl Mace, David Croft and girlfriend, Desiree Ching and Katherine Croft and boyfriend, Evin Laemmel, all of St. Clair, MO; by her like-a-daughter, Danielle Hines of St. Louis, MO; by two siblings, Alberta Vied of Belleville, IL and Howard "Junior" Mace of Illinois; by her like-a-sister, Kelly Lane of Union, MO; by her adopted mother, Donna Perfater; by her adopted brother, Dennis Perfater; by her grandchildren, Danica, Raelyn, Dakota, Milenna and Scarlett; by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, Howard, Sr. and Karillne Mace; by one sibling, Karillne Mace; and the father of her children Erle John Croft. Lillie was a Christian and believed in the Lord as her Savior. Lillie had worked many jobs throughout her life, but her true passion and profession was a care giver. Lillie enjoyed decorating, drawing and cleaning. She also enjoyed micro-managing everything, make money, talk on the phone and spend time on the river. Lillie was a very caring woman that would take care of and cook for her older friends and neighbors. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy and she cherished the time spent with them, especially the grandchildren. The love they shared and many precious memories they created together will never be forgotten. A kind and loving companion, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair. A private committal will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.
