OBITUARY Leslie Grace Curtis of St. Clair, MO departed this life in St. Clair, MO on February 6, 2022, having reached the age of fifty-four years, nine months and three days. Leslie was born in Fort Lee, Virginia on May 3, 1967, having been raised by her grandparents, Arthur, Sr. and Mary Pelisari. As a young woman she was united in marriage and blessed to have one daughter. On September 7, 2019 she was united in marriage to Gary DeWayne Curtis. Leslie is survived by her husband, Gary Curtis of St. Clair, MO; by her daughter, Brandy, of Washington, MO; by one step-son, Garett Curtis and wife, Jayme, of Grandview, IN; by two granddaughters, Lauralie and Delilah, both of Washington; by her special cousin, Laura Pelisari, who resides in the state of FL; by seven step-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Leslie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arthur, Sr. and Mary Pelisari; and by one step-son, Michael Curtis. Leslie above all else loved her religion, and was a devout and pro-life member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Villa Ridge, MO. She was a member of Daughters of Isabella, St. Clair Circle 1082. During her working career she was employed as a manager in various Walmart stores in Missouri and Indiana. She had a great passion for helping people, especially the homeless. Leslie loved wildlife, taking part in animal rescues and feeding and watching hummingbirds. She also loved to work in her flower garden. What meant most to her was her time spent with family and friends. The loved they shared and many precious memories they created will forever be cherished by them all. A kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, step-mother, step-grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Graveside services were held at 10:45 AM Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Villa Ridge, MO with Father Mark officiating. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society of St. Louis, MO. The family of Leslie Grace Curtis was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
