Lena Mae Lee of St. Clair, MO departed this life in St. Clair on November 16, 2021, having reached the age of eighty-six years, seven months and twenty-five days. Lena was born in Old Mines, MO on March 22, 1935, daughter of Clarence John Boyer and Mary Blanche Boyer. On September 7, 1955 she was united in marriage to Robert Edward Lee and one son came to bless this union. Lena is survived by her son, John Lee and wife, Pam of Grubville, MO; by her grandson, John M. Lee and fiancé, Jana Rice, of Union, MO; by her brother-in-law, Allan Lee and girlfriend, Helen Werner, of Robertsville, MO; by her sister-in-law, Betty Boyer of Grubville, MO; by nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Lena was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mary Boyer; by her husband, Robert Lee; and by her many siblings. Lena was a Christian and member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Luebbering, MO, where she was part of the Ladies Sodality for some time. During her working career she owned and operated the Luebbering General Store, served as Postmaster for the Luebbering, MO Post Office for about twenty-five years and had as a young woman worked on the assembly line at Brown Shoe Company in Union, MO. Lena enjoyed working in her garden, whether raising flowers or produce. She also enjoyed going fishing, hunting, camping or having family cookouts. Lena also loved travelling to bluegrass festivals with Robert in their motor home and playing the guitar in the family band. The love she shared with family and the many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Monday, November 22, 2021 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with Deacon David Lee officiating. Interment was in Luebbering Citizens Community Cemetery in Luebbering, MO. Memorial may be made to the cemetery.
