OBITUARY Leland Lewis Stahlman of St. Clair, MO departed this life at his home, surrounded by the love of his family, on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, having reached the age of eighty-six years, six months and twenty-four days. Leland was born in Luebbering, MO on July 19, 1938, son of Roy Arthur Stahlman and Eunice Myron Stahlman nee Lewis. As a young man he was united in marriage and blessed to have four children. Leland is survived by his children, Barb Tilley and friend, Jim, of Grant, MI, Brent Tilley and wife, Kae, of Hudsonville, MI, Todd Tilley of Spring Lake, MI and Tina Tilley of Dorr, MI; by his special friend, Pauline Scheer of St. Clair, MO; by two siblings, Keith Stahlman and wife, Marylin, of Union, MO and Karen Sitzes and husband, Gerald, of Villa Ridge, MO; by eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Leland was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Eunice Stahlman; by his wives, Emma Jane Stahlman nee Praay and Judith Johnmeyer Stahlman; by one brother, Glen Stahlman; and by his sister-in-law, Phyllis Stahlman. Leland was a Christian, having been raised in the Baptist faith and believing in the Lord as his Savior. He was proud to have served his country in the United States Air Force, entering on July 25, 1956 and receiving his honorable discharge on July 24, 1960. During his working career he was employed by CNO Railroad/Kleinschmidt, repairing teletype equipment, retiring after thirty-five years of service to the company. He was a member of American Legion Post 347 in St. Clair, MO and enjoyed spending time with his friends there. Leland loved the outdoors, going on fishing trips with his brothers and friends, playing golf and going boating. He also enjoyed working on his house and especially loved his pet dogs. What meant most to him was time spent with his family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, companion, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
