Lee Joseph Bender, aged 74, passed away on February 27, 2025, just one day shy of his 75th birthday, in St. Clair, Missouri. Born on February 28, 1950, Lee was a lifelong resident of Missouri and graduated from Herculaneum High School. Lee leaves behind a loving family, including his children, Katherine Gentner (Willis), Raymond Leuthauser (Carrie), Steven Leuthauser (Lynn), Michele Reasoner (Tony), and Tamara Lister (John), Jeannette Bender, and Julie Fischer (Christopher); brother, Christopher Bender; sisters, Patricia Bender and Michele Bicknell (Michael); nineteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon Bender; his parents, Harry and Agnes Bender; and his brother, Harry Bender Jr. Lee was known for his steadfast nature and immense love for his family. He embodied the spirit of a true collector, never parting with any item, no matter how small, believing each held a story or a purpose. His passion for the history and principles of the United States was profound; he was a fervent supporter of President Trump and an ardent advocate for the Constitution. Professionally, Lee dedicated many years as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, where his expertise and hardworking attitude were greatly valued. He served his community and faith as an active member of the local Catholic church, contributing to various activities and programs. An avid outdoorsman, Lee found peace and enjoyment in hunting and fishing, often sharing stories of his adventures and the tranquility he found in nature. Lee's life was a testament to his enduring spirit and the deep love he held for his family and country. His legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of those who knew him.
