Obituary

OBITUARY Leann Dean Gratzer of St. Clair, MO departed this life in St. Clair on December 6, 2021, having reached the age of sixty-one years, three months and twenty-six days. Leann was born in St. Louis, MO on August 10, 1960, daughter of Forrest Dean Maness and Edna Louise Maness nee Findley. On September 2, 1978 she was united in marriage to Bruce Edward Gratzer and three daughters came to bless this union. Leann is survived by her husband, Bruce Gratzer of St. Clair, MO; by her daughters, Loriann Glass and husband, Bruce, of St. Clair, Stephanie Gratzer and boyfriend, Mitchel Levvintre, of St. Clair and Danielle Gratzer of St. Clair; by her brothers, Mitchell Maness, who resides in Guam and Mark Wishnask and wife, Mel, of St. Clair; by her sisters, Rene' Obie and husband, Dan, of St. Clair, Deanna Wirt and husband, Mike, of St. Clair, Roni Krolak and husband, Dave, of Union, MO, Ann Reynolds and husband, Merle, of Collbran, CO and Tracy Neely and husband, Mark, of Jackson, MO; by her grandchildren, Kellen Glass, Kole Glass, Elliot Glass, Trenton Fox, Allyson Fox, Jaxon Hamer an Ezra Gratzer; by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Leann was preceded in death by her parents. Forrest and Edna Maness; and by her sister, Robin Bell. Leann was a Christian and member of United Methodist Church in St. Clair, MO; During her working career she was employed by Von Weise Gear Company in St. Clair, MO for twenty-five years, where she held various positions in the company, ending her service to the company in sales. Leann also worked at Walmart for ten years and was a cook at St. Clair Elementary School for two years. She loved to travel, take cruises and visit the ocean, and especially loved watching the waves. Leann also loved caring for her plants. She enjoyed the fellowship of family and friends. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy and held a very special place in her heart, as she did in theirs. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will forever be cherished by them all. A kind and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Memorial services were held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Rev. Ben Kingston officiating. A private committal will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Burn Unit of Shriners Hospital for Children.
