OBITUARY Larry Gene Elfrank of St. Clair, MO departed this life in Washington, MO on Tuesday, April 22, 225, having reached the age of seventy-six years, eleven months and twenty-five days. Larry was born in Perkins, MO on April 28, 1948, son of Henry Elfrank and Maude Elfrank nee Neeley. As a young man he was united in marriage and blessed to have three children. On October 11, 2006 he was united in marriage to Charlene Montalbano and their families were joined as one. Larry is survived by his wife, Charlene Elfrank of St. Clair, MO; by two children, Darlinda Elfrank of MO and Loren Elfrank of Lonedell, MO; by his step-children, Jeffrey Cannon and wife, Marta, of Boulder City, NV, Dawn Cannon of Nampa, ID and Michael Cannon and wife, Caitlin, of Crestwood, MO; by two sisters, Carolyn Palmonari and Peggy Sue Edwards; by eleven grandchildren, Daniel Elfrank, Katrina Lambert and husband, joey, Jenny Elfrank, Devin Elfrank and wife, Jennifer, Elisabeth Cannon, Abby Cannon, Bryce Cannon, Renee VanHook, Gabe VanHook, Nathan VanHook and Charles Cannon; by two great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Maude Elfrank; by one son, Doyle Elfrank; by his brothers, Benard Elfrank, Leon Elfrank and Lonnie Elfrank; and by three sisters, Margie Dow, Etta DeLay and Patricia Darling. During his working career he was previously employed by Six Flags in Eureka, MO, Maverick Tube in Union, MO and retired from Breckenridge Material Company as a manager, serving the company for over twenty years. He was also a proud member of the Local Teamster Union in St. Louis, MO. Larry enjoyed reminiscing about the days he flew his plane and enjoyed tinkering with things and doing projects with his friend and neighbor Mac. He was proud to have cleared his own property and building his own home. He was also an animal lover that loved to take care of and feed any of them that came down the road. What meant most to him was time spent with family. A kind and loving husband, father, step-father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, April 28, 2025 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with James Weckmann officiating. A private committal will take place at a later date.
