OBITUARY
Larry Frank Busby, Sr. of St. Clair, MO departed this life at his home, surrounded by the love of his family, on Monday, July 27, 2026, having reached the age of eighty-five years and three days. Larry was born in East Prairie, MO on July 24, 1941, son of Lynn Denny Busby and Inez Durall Busby nee Hopper. On January 28, 1967 he was united in marriage to Wanda Mae Clippard and three children came to bless this union.
Larry is survived by his wife, Wanda Busby of St. Clair, MO; by his children, Larry Frank Busby, Jr. and wife, Debra, of St. Clair, MO, Angie Shaver and husband, Chris, of St. Clair, MO and Missy King and husband, Richard, of Pacific, MO; by his brother, Linny Busby of Fredericktown, MO; by two sisters, Ruth Kratzer of Advance, MO and Phyllis Longoria of Rock Springs, WY; by five grandchildren, Brittney Pruitt, Tony Busby (Shannah), Karlie King (fiancé, Jason Smith), Mason Dodson (Destinee) and Maddie King; by four step-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, with one on the way, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lynn and Inez Busby; by one sister, Audrey Morton; and by two grandchildren, Jesse Busby and David Busby.
Larry was a Christian and member of Church of Christ in St. Clair, MO. He was proud to have served his country in the United States Army from 1960-1963, attaining the rank of E4. During his working career he was employed by Daimler-Chrysler Corporation in Fenton, MO, retiring after thirty-one years of service to the company. He was a proud member of United Auto Workers Local 136, as well as American Legion Post 347 in St. Clair, MO. He enjoyed going fishing, camping, hunting and working in the garden. His grandchildren held a very special place in his heart, as he did in theirs, and he especially loved to hold them and also attend their sporting events at school. The love they shared and many precious memories they created together will be cherished by them all forever.
A kind and loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, step-grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, July 31, 2026 at Russell Colonisl Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Dr. John Westerman officiating. Interment with full military honors will be in Crestview Memorial Park in St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to American Legion Post 347 in St. Clair, MO.
