OBITUARY Kody Alan Kennedy of St. Clair, MO departed this life in Lonedell, MO on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, having reached the age of thirty-five years, two months and eleven days. Kody was born in Washington, MO on February 28, 1988, son of Shawn Alan Kennedy and Christina Marie Kennedy nee Bragg. As a young man he was blessed to have a daughter. Kody is survived by his daughter, Rylee Christina Kennedy of St. Clair, MO; by his father, Shawn Kennedy of St. Clair, MO; by his brother, Tyler Kennedy and wife, Samantha, of Kirkwood, MO; by his grandmother, Dorothy Sue Bolte of St. Clair, MO; by his grandfather, William "Bill" Bragg of Pass Christian, MS; by four aunts, Patty Mudd and husband, Ed, Kitty Bouzek and husband, Rusty, Cindy Huff and companion, Bob Nelson and Marcie Sullentrup and husband, Nate; by his uncles, Gilbert Kennedy and wife, April, Craig Kennedy and wife, Carla, Keith Kennedy and wife, Melissa, Billy Bragg and Daryl Bragg; by his nieces, Skylar Kennedy and Autumn Kennedy; by his nephew, Chase Kennedy; by many cousins and friends. Kody was preceded in death by his mother, Christian Kennedy; by three grandparents, Robert Bolte, clarence Kennedy and Evelyn Bragg; and by one aunt, Linda Warnbold. During his working career he was employed by Skyview as a cell tower climber, as well as working various other jobs. He loved doing almost anything outdoors, whether going to the creek, spending time on the river, fishing, hunting or camping. He cherished his time spent with family and friends and especially loved spending time with his daughter Rylee. The love they shared and many precious memories they created together will never be forgotten. A kind and loving father, son, grandson, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday, May 15, 2023 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM and the funeral home. Interment will be in Midlawn Memorial Gardens in Union, MO. Memorials may be made for Rylee Kennedy in care of Shawn Kennedy.
