OBITUARY Kathye Jane Geissler of St. Clair, MO departed this life at her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on Friday, December 13, 2024, having reached the age of seventy-four years, eight months and twenty-seven days. Kathye was born in Manhattan, KS on March 16, 1950, daughter of Onley Temple Davis, Jr. and Edna "Jane" Davis nee Edwards. As a young woman she was united in marriage to James McCormack and blessed to have five children. On December 31, 2016, she was united in marriage to Gary Lawrence Geissler, and their families were joined as one. Kathye is survived by her husband, Gary Geissler of St. Clair, MO; by her children, Michael McCormack and wife, Tina, of Washington, MO, Steven McCormack of Spring, TX, Patrick McCormack of Union, MO, Jeffrey McCormack of Springfield, MO and Tricia McCormack of Melbourne, Australia; by her step-children, George Geissler of Washington, MO, Chris Geissler and wife, Elizabeth, of Washington, MO, Elizabeth Knight and husband, Matt, of High Ridge, MO, Anna Geissler of Sedalia, MO, MaryBeth Hickinbotham and husband, Josh, of Pacific, MO, Stephen Shepherd of Bonne Terre, MO, Amy Heron and husband, Bobby, of Robertsville, MO, Timothy Geissler and fiancé, Deborah, of Bonne Terre, MO, Sara McDaniel and husband, Cody, of St. Clair, MO and James Geissler of Columbia, MO; by her sisters, Pamela Davis of FL and Royln Hiatt and husband, Fred, of Napa, CA; by many grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Kathye was preceded in death by her parents, Onley T Davis Jr, and Walt & Jane Specie. Kathye was a Christian, believing in the Lord as her Savior and member of Compass Ministries. During her working career she managed numerous retail stores in the area, including Kennedy's, Colonel Days, Dollar General and Kohls in Washington, where she retired after ten years of service to the company. Her love of singing throughout her life led her to be a music leader at church with Gary and singing at various nursing homes. Kathye's love of animals was rooted in her life through the rescue of many in need, taking care of others' pets, and volunteering at the Franklin County Humane Society. Kathye also loved to go shopping, on road trips and crosswords. Word has it that her hands never touched a lawn mower. What meant most to her was time spent with family. Her children and grandchildren held a very special place in her heart, as she did in theirs. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, stepmother, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, December 20, 2024, at Franklin Baptist Center, 785 Butterfield Drive, Union, MO, with Rev. Jim Creek officiating. A private committal will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society in Union, MO. The family of Kathye Jane Geissler entrusted the care of their loved one to Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
