OBITUARY Katherine Ann Brocato, known to all as Kathy, of St. Clair, MO departed this life in Creve Coeur, MO on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, having reached the age of sixty-eight years, six months and twenty-seven days. Kathy was born in Washington, MO on July 3, 1955, daughter of Ralph William Siess and Dorothy Rose Siess nee Unnerstall. As a young woman she was united in marriage and blessed to have one daughter, Courtney. Kathy is survived by her daughter, Courtney Calvin and husband, Steve, of St. Clair, MO; by one brother, Randy Siess and wife, Kathleen, of Union, MO; by one sister, Sharon Havin and husband, Bob, of St. Clair, MO; by two step-grandchildren, Sophia Calvin and Colton Calvin, both of St. Clair, MO; by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Dorothy Siess; by one brother, Kenny Siess, by one sister, Janice Dell; and by her nephew, Kyle Siess. Kathy was a Christian of the Catholic faith and previous member of St. Clare Catholic Church. During her working career she was employed as a machine operator at Von Weise Gear Company in St. Clair, MO for over thirty years. She enjoyed working in her yard, going golfing and taking pictures. In her younger years, she was an avid bowler and won many trophies in the leagues in which she participated. She had also enjoyed doing crochet. She was so smart and could build or fix anything. Kathy had a special fondness for her pet cat, Breezy……even if she said otherwise, she adored that cat! What meant most to her was time spent with family. She loved to entertain at her home and most of all all enjoyed hosting Christmas Eve celebrations for her family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will forever be cherished by them all. A kind and loving mother, mother-in-law, step-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
