Joshua Nathan Garrett of St. Clair, MO, known to all as Josh, departed this life in Creve Coeur, MO on Sunday, February 19, 2023, having reached the age of forty-one years, four months and four days. Josh was born in St. Louis, MO on October 15, 1981, son of Christopher Eugene Garrett and Tammy Jean Garrett nee Willis. Josh is survived by his parents, Christopher and Tammy Garrett; by his brothers, Justin Garrett and wife, Nickie, of Foristell, MO and Jason Garrett and wife, Heather, of Union, MO; by his grandparents, Joyce Willis of St. Clair, MO and Gene Garrett and wife, Melody, of Granite City, IL; by his nieces and nephews, Hunter, Gage and Charleigh Garrett, all of Foristell, MO and Logan, Gus and Annabel Garrett, all of Union, MO; by aunts, uncles, great-aunts and uncles, cousins and many friends. Josh was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don Willis and Alma Voss. Josh was a Christian of the Catholic faith and member of St. Clare Catholic Church in St. Clair, MO and was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 4667 in St. Clair, MO. He was a carpenter and millwright by trade and during his working career he was employed by Acme Constructors, where he served as a foreman and project manager. Josh was a proud member of Carpenters Local 92 in St. Louis, MO. He loved going to deer camp, riding his ranger and being on the river. He also loved singing karaoke, even if there wasn't a machine, and working on his vehicles. Josh enjoyed having parties and spending time with family and friends. What meant most to him though was time spent with family. Although he had no children of his own he loved his nieces and nephews as if they were his own. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will never be forgotten. A kind and loving son, grandson, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, great-nephew, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Father Eric Kunz officiating. Interment will be in Midlawn Memorial Gardens in Union, MO. Memorials may be made to Spina Bifida of Greater St. Louis, 2705 dougherty Ferry Rd., Suite 200B, St. Louis, MO 63122
