OBITUARY

Johnny Joe Delcour, of Prattville, Alabama, departed this life on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, having reached the age of fifty‑nine years, six months, and twelve days. Johnny was born in East St. Louis, Illinois, on February 28, 1967, the son of Billy Joe Delcour and E. Jane (Tourville) Delcour. On September 3, 1988, he was united in marriage to Christine Brushwitz, and one son came to bless their union.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Christine Delcour of Prattville, AL; his son, Jake Delcour, and Jake’s girlfriend, Cheyenne Jahraus, of Iuka, IL; his mother, E. Jane Delcour of Hoffman, IL; his sibling, KD Potts of Kingwood, TX; his niece Stephanie Emmite; brother-in-law Ron Brushwitz; nephew Brandon Brushwitz; step‑grandson Matthew Jahraus; great‑nieces, great‑nephews, cousins, and many treasured friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe Delcour, and by three siblings: Debbie Delcour, Jeff Delcour, and Karla Delcour.

Johnny was a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church in Prattville, AL. He was employed as a die setter for Arrow Group Industries in Breese, IL, for thirty‑three years. After moving to Alabama, he worked as a CNC machine operator at Southeast Stamping in Montgomery, AL, until his passing.

Johnny loved the outdoors—hunting, fishing, and boating brought him great joy. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family and friends. The love, laughter, and fellowship they shared will be held in their hearts forever.

A kind and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Johnny will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at 9:30am with services starting at 11:00am on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Russell Funeral Home in St. Clair, Missouri, with Rev. Duke West officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in St. Clair, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church of Prattville or PAHS (Prattville Autauga Humane Society).
