OBITUARY John Joseph Dachs, known to all as Joe, of Fenton, MO departed this life at his home, surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, having reached the age of seventy-eight years, seven months and twenty-four days. Joe was born in Portageville, MO on May 8, 1946, son of George Dachs and Agnes Dachs nee Schallert. As a young man he was blessed to have two daughters. On august 16, 2003 he was united in marriage to Rosie Lee Bay and their families were joined as one. Joe is survived by his wife, Rosie Dachs of Fenton, MO; by his daughters, Mary Suchland and husband, James, of O'Fallon, MO, Amy Jo Evans and husband, Jason, of House Springs, MO; by his step-daughter, Lesley Cox of Sedalia, MO; by his sisters, Mary Williams and husband, Bill, of Kansas City, MO and Amy Lux of Las Vegas, NV; by his sisters-in-law, Fern Vanderhorst of Sedalia, MO and Delores McHenry of Kirksville, MO; by eleven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, George and Agnes Dachs; by his step-son, Vernon Cox; and by his brothers, Francis Dachs and Harold Dach. Joe was a Christian, having been raised in the Catholic faith and believing in the Lord as his Savior. During his working career he was employed by Maritz in Fenton, MO as a truck driver setting up various promotions for them and serving the company for forty-two years. He enjoyed going fishing, to gun shows and sightseeing in cemeteries for history. What meant most to him was time spent with family and friends. The love and fellowship they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever. A kind and loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Rev. Raymond Laramore officiating. Interment will be in Cove Cemetery in St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
